“Doing science” through multimodal interactions in the early childhood classroom

Charles Max, Christina Siry

In this paper the research group shares findings as evidence of the spontaneous ways children describe, explain, interconnect and reason about phenomena related to the natural, physical and chemical properties of water. A particular focus is put on the joint embodied acting, i.e. the multimodal ways young children enact their understanding and thoughts into being.
