VesselSat-2 successfully launched with first 2012 spaceflight

On January 9, 2012 03:17 UTC the Chinese rocket Chang Zheng-4B – Y26 has launched VesselSat-2 into a polar orbit. This launch was the first of 2012. Initial tests have shown that VS-2 is in a good state.

Vesselsat-1 has been successfully launched with PSLV-C18 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre and is currently in the In Orbit Testing (IOT) phase.

The project were i am doing participant observation is approaching its finalization. Tests are ongoing and so far successfull.

Analysis of that huge data set is also ongoing with a data collection and processing approach combining the ‘problem trajectory’ [Strauss,1985] approach, the ‘critical situation method’ [Badke-Schaub&Frankenberger,2001], and ‘critical interaction instances’ [Song et al., 2011].
