Katerina Zourou

Katerina Zourou is a post-doctoral researcher in the field of computer supported collaborative language learning at the University of Luxembourg, DICA-lab research unit (http://www.dica-lab.org/) , under the supervision of Prof. Charles Max et Ass. Prof. Gudrun Ziegler. She is an AFR post-doctoral fellow of the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR) Luxembourg, from October 2008 to September 2010.

Her research topics involve effects of computer mediation in foreign language education as well as telecollaborative practices online. Research publications are available in French and in English.

Working in multicultural teams in France, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Greece, she provides consultation on educational issues to the European Commission in Brussels.

Current projects

  • Sept. 2008-Sept. 2010: AFR grant for the project ” Development of professional skills through telecollaboration in higher education settings (Pro-skills)”.
  • May 2010: Research project on tellecollaborative practices online. Joint research activity with Meei-Ling Liaw, Professor at the National Taichung University. Scientific stay of three weeks in Taiwan in May 2010, in the framework of my AFR grant by the Fonds National de la Recherche Luxembourg. Travel and subsistence expenses covered by a fellowship by the National Science Council, Taiwan.
