Marnie Ludwig

Prior to joining the FUNDALUX project, Marnie Ludwig completed the research Masters’ programme « Learning and Development in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts » at the University of Luxembourg in July 2009. She holds a Bachelor degree in educational sciences (preschool education) from the “Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard” in Namur, Belgium. Marnie has been working as teacher of German, French, English and Italian as foreign languages in a private school for children with learning difficulties and as a research student assistant with DICA-lab the University of Luxembourg.

Interested in second language acquisition and developmental theories on language learning in multicultural school settings, Marnie Ludwig has elaborated a master thesis on “Patterns of children’s development of interactional competences when tools come into play” in a Luxembourgish preschool setting.

Marnie Ludwig is a member of the organization committee of the international conference Mehrsprachigkeit an Hochschulen professionalisieren: mehrsprachige Individuen fördern & mehrsprachige Institutionen entwickeln, University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg, February 2010.
