Mark is a Lecturer at the Business School, University of Western Australia. He teaches in the areas of business ethics, organizational change and transformation and integrative metatheory. He has published in scholarly journals on a variety of topics including organizational development, organizational learning, sustainability, futures studies, cultural evolution, disability studies, metatheory development and integrative metastudies. Mark’s PhD thesis was awarded with distinction. Before working as an academic, Mark worked for many years with higher education students with disabilities in the role of disability services coordinator. These experiences continue to inform his approach to both personal and organisational change and transformation.
Mark’s articles have appeared in several academic journals including “Leadership and Organizational Development Journal”, “Journal of Organizational Change and Management”, “Integral Leadership Review”, “The Learning Organization”, “Futures”, “ReVision” and “Journal of Integral Theory and Practice”. He has also contributed chapters to books dealing with such topics as 21st century management, integral metatheory, management education, cybernetics and corruption and globalisation. He is also a member of the European research network SUSTAIN which looks at innovative approaches to sustaining work, and a member of the international advisory board of the Institute for Integral Studies (IFIS). He is a registered psychologist.
