Marc has studied Mathematics and Philosophy: He holds a PhD in Russian and Greek Theology. He has lived in Italy, Brazil, and the USA, and has lectured internationally. Besides his mother tongue French he speaks English, Italian, Dutch, Brazilian, Spanish, German, Modern Greek and Russian.
During almost 10 years he has been working directly for two succeeding Presidents of the European Commission, Jacques Delors and Jacques Santer, as a member of the “Forward Studies Unit” inside the European Commission. He was in charge of the research on the Future trends in Europe and in the world in the context of the current paradigm shift.
Marc is now active in knowledge economy research, is teaching regularly at Rouen ESC Business school in France and at the “Cotrugli Business Academy” in Zagreb, Croatia, a new educational institutions he serves as Vice-President. At the same time he is Vice-Chairman of the “International Advisory Council” of Auroville, in India, and Senior Advisor with the Consulting group “Business solutions”, Brussels. Marc is a fellow of the “World Business Academy” and as well of the “World Academy of Arts and Science”.
His latest book “The knowledge society: a breakthrough towards genuine sustainability” is a superb synthesis of today’s burning issues of globalization, the transition to post-industrial futures, the growth of post-carbon, “green” economies worldwide, changing paradigms in science, economics, and management—all enfolded in a deep cultural analysis of changing ethical, religious, and spiritual values.
